History of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at CGS

CGS began its journey with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DOE) in 2010 with the aim of nurturing well-rounded, responsible, and confident young individuals. Since then, the programme has become an integral part of student development at the school.

Students from Class 8 and above participate in the award scheme, challenging themselves through activities that develop physical fitness, practical skills, community service, and leadership qualities. Through perseverance, teamwork, and dedication, students learn to step beyond their comfort zones and discover their true potential.

Over the years, CGS students have shown great enthusiasm and dedication in completing the requirements of the award at different levels. The programme has helped students build resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility towards society. Through this journey, CGS continues to encourage students to challenge themselves, explore their potential, and grow into capable and compassionate leaders.

Today, CGS proudly upholds the spirit of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, inspiring generations of students to pursue excellence, embrace challenges, and develop a lifelong commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth.
