Dear Visitor,

Welcome to the Middle School of Chittagong Grammar School.

Our Middle School, comprising Classes 3 to 8, is located at the Surson Valley campus on the scenic Chatteshwari Road. These years represent a vital stage in a child’s development, where students strengthen the academic foundations of the Cambridge curriculum while growing in confidence, curiosity and independence.

The Middle School community includes more than 500 students supported by over 150 dedicated teachers, counselors, administrators, management and support staff. Together, they work to ensure that every student receives the guidance, encouragement and opportunities needed to achieve their best.

The curriculum for Classes 3 to 7 offers a broad and balanced programme that includes Art, Bangla, Creative Writing, English Language, Geography, Global Perspectives, History, ICT, Islamiat and Moral Education, English Literature, Mathematics, Physical Education, Science and Social Studies. Students begin sitting for formal examinations from Class 3. In Class 7, professional career counselors from ICS guide students in selecting their future O Level subjects based on their aptitude and interests.

In Class 8, students begin the O Level syllabus. Subjects offered include Accounting, Additional or Pure Mathematics, Art, Bangla or French, Bangladesh Studies, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, English, Environmental Management, Mathematics and Physics.

We maintain strong communication with parents and regularly update them on their child’s academic progress and personal development through meetings and platforms such as CGSLearn, Champion Teacher and WhatsApp broadcasts.

Student achievements are recognized through monthly, term-wise and annual awards. The school also observes important national and international days to build awareness and a global outlook. Participation in extracurricular activities is compulsory, encouraging teamwork, creativity and leadership. Our students also regularly participate in Olympiads, competitions, and conferences.

At Middle School, our aim extends beyond academic excellence. We strive to nurture confident, responsible and compassionate individuals. Within a caring, enriching and secure environment, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop their talents, and respect both themselves and others.

We warmly invite prospective students and families to become part of the proud legacy of Chittagong Grammar School.

What's Happening at Middle School

This Ramadan, our students went deeper. They didn’t just recite the Qur’an; they engaged with its meanings, lessons, and life guidance. It was a truly meaningful journey of reflection, understanding, and spiritual growth and character building. We are so proud of the mindfulness and dedication they showed in every session.
